ABOUT CMB ARTWORKS

Based in Leonardtown, Maryland, CMB Artworks highlights the imaginative and expressive work of artist Cindy Martin-Brennan. Using oils, acrylics, colored pencils, cold wax, encaustics and photography, Cindy creates striking pieces that shift fluidly between realism and abstraction, often guided by mood and instinct. She creates both detailed landscape work that conveys a strong sense of place and richly layered encaustic pieces that explore light, movement, and transformation. Central to her process is her personal photographic archive, which she uses as reference, as a base for painting, or as an integrated element within the final work.

She especially enjoys working with a blowtorch in her encaustic pieces and exploring abstract compositions. It is a full-circle journey—from working with rocket launches during her 35+ year career supporting the Space Shuttle and International Space Station to now using heat and flame in her own creative process.

Beyond her gallery collection, Cindy also accepts commissions, offering clients the opportunity to see their own cherished photographs transformed into expressive, one-of-a-kind art.
